Gallery Manager is a pluggable web application used by photographers to help them better manage their business. It is currently being provided by Black Box Operations to photographers who wish to store, distribute, or sell their own content without having to pay a middle man a percentage per sale or worry about clunky, cumbersome interfaces.

Gallery manager is currently version 1.02, and we hope to add photo manipulation and commerce information integration (to allow you to use your own merchant account) with our next release. Gallery Manager allows photographers to manage:

  • Public or private galleries
  • Credentials for private galleries
  • Categories for each gallery
  • Images for each category
  • Packages consisting of one or many items, such as 8x10s, portraits, etc.
  • Individualized prices per package according to the gallery it belongs to

Gallery Manager also allows photographers to:

  • Dynamically send notifications to clients containing their unique web address and credentials for their gallery
  • Create an online store per gallery containing packages allowing the customer to create their own order and purchase packages online
  • Send receipts and notifications of transactions to both the client and the photographer
  • Detailed notifications containing thumbnails, package information, shipping costs, etc.
  • Upload their own watermark image to dynamically place on each image.
  • Upload their own company logo and templates for each gallery.
